My seven year old loves to do arts and crafts. She loves coloring, painting, drawing, and craft projects. I love that she has a creative side and I hope she keeps it forever but I don’t always love all the clean up or glue and paint stuck to my dining room table. So I found this great product called Messmatz from PlaSmart. It is a great way to make clean up easier and faster!
Basically Messmatz is a large silicone mat, made of non-toxic food-grade silicone that can be laid out for them to use when working on their messy masterpieces. It’s a nice large surface (24 inches by 18 inches) so they have plenty of room for working on their projects. Since it is silicone it’s really easy to wipe down and you can even throw it in the dishwasher! So easy to use, it’s flexible and you can easily just roll it up and store out of the way when you are not using it. It’s a great solution to making clean up fast and easy.
Now I can lay out the Messmatz on the table, she can paint, glue, color, whatever she wants to do and clean up only takes me a few minutes. Just pick up the supplies and wipe down the mat. If it’s really a mess I throw it in the dishwasher and it’s nice and clean for the next art session. We love it!
They make great gift ideas for any kiddos you know who love arts and crafts. Well it might be more of a gift for mom and dad but regardless it’s a great gift!! If they love to create give them the gift of easy fast clean up when they have completed their piece of art.
