We love games in our house so every year I love to give some fun games as holiday gifts to my kiddos. I recently found a great company with several different options called Thinkfun. Thinkfun has a great little game called Balance Beans that I thought would be a great choice for my daughter. Suitable for ages 5 and up, I thought it would be perfect for my 7 year old. Balance Beans focuses on math and logic skills. My seven year old has been struggling a bit with math so I wanted to give her something that she could practice these skills while still having fun. Balance beans is perfect. I also love that she can play it by herself or they can take turns and play it together.
Balance Beans is super fun. The game comes with puzzle cards, each one has a different puzzle that requires you to use logic, reasoning, and math skills to figure out the puzzle. Each card gives you a set up of the red beans. The object is to balance the board with the other beans to make them even. As the challenges increase in difficulty they will have to use more math skills and less just trial and error to get the puzzles right. A really fun way to learn math skills.
If you are looking for some great educational games this holiday season Balance Beans from Thinkfun is a great option. Thinkfun has several other great gift ideas as well. They are a great choice for holiday shopping this holiday season.
